Here at WWR, we like Timex. Many of us have had a Timex as our first watch, and today, they’re offering quite a range of offerings. Timex watches range from inexpensive digital watches to dressier quartz pieces, all the way up to what we’d call “serious” (but still affordable) automatics. They’ve also done some interesting collaborations, and their latest just dropped. Meet the Timex x Jacquie Aiche Sunrise.

As you can see, this is a familiar profile, with the fluted bezel, five-link jubilee-style bracelet, and a three-hand time display. This would make it part of their “Legacy” line based on those. To differentiate it, though, we’ve got that lovely dial. This is – to my eye – a sort of water color / stained glass interpretation of a sunrise over a lake or ocean. Frankly, it’s stunning, and I’m glad this design exists.

To be fair, the watch itself is not one that I would wear, as I’m not into all of the yellow gold tones used here. That dial, though, I appreciate it for the artistic take there, and it’s a way you can carry that bit of summertime vacation memories along with you into the work week. If you want to pick one up, it’s available today for $375 directly from timex.com
