What do you mean, you haven’t heard of RESCO?  Well, we’ll cover the company in a short minute.  We’ve learned that they’ve got some second generation models coming to market, and if you jump in on the pre-order, you’ll get a nice 15% discount.

So, who is RESCO?  They’re a California company founded in a 2009, with a very interesting facet – the owner of the company is actually an active-duty Navy SEAL – which means the watches he’s creating are likely being tested in harsher conditions than you or I would ever put them through.

So, what about these new watches?  The first one they’ve got up for pre-order is the Red Circle, which is the result of the collaboration with another Navy SEAL, Brandon Webb.  Obviously, you’ve got some sharp red accents to the watch.  Here’s a run-down of the spec sheet:

  •  42mm DLC steel case (14mm thick) with 20mm lugs
  • ETA 2893-2 with GMT Complication
  • 300m water resistance
  • Domed Sapphire Crystal with Inside AR coating
  • Serialized, limited edition (only 215 will be made)
  • Comes on a nylon strap; leather strap is an available option

As you can see from the pictures, it’s a sharp looking piece – not overly dark, nor is the red garish – looks to be a nice mix of colors (at least from the renders we’ve seen so far).  Given RESCO’s reputation (and the movement ticking away inside), this is a watch that should last a good long time.

That is, if you can get one!  As I noted above, there’s only going to be 215 of these made available.  So, if you want one, head over to the pre-order page and claim yours.  If you do, the regular price of $2150 drops down to $1827.50.

And I should note – this is just the first new model coming down the pipe – should be some more interesting pieces coming from RESCO, and we’re looking into getting some samples to give you a true review of these American-made watches.
