Hodinkee found an auction for Captain Kangroo’s original gold Vulcain Cricket. The $1,100 buy it now price seems like a great deal for a watch with quite a bit of provenance.

The watch comes with documentation from the 2004 sale of Keeshan’s estate after he passed away. As an interesting aside, two other watches auctioned at that estate sale were an Abercrombie & Fitch Seafarer made by Heuer and an 18k white gold Bulova Accutron.

It might not be completely worth as much as they’re saying, but if you can get it right at the reserve it could be a nice piece to have. I mean come on – Captain Kangaroo? He was a legend.
