For those of you not familiar with Le Rhöne (as I was) they are a 10-year old brand making watches in Geneva, focusing on offering full traceability in everything that they build. Today, we’ll be talking about the Le Rhöne Moön Aventurine Titanium.

Specifically, we’ll be talking about the more-compact 37mm versions of the Le Rhöne Moön Aventurine Titanium (for those interested, there is a 41mm version that comes on a bracelet). Why the 37mm? Well, frankly, they’ll be a good bit more wearable for a variety of wrists. Then again, when a case is made of titanium – as this one is – comfort is pretty well assured, provided it fits your wrist well.

While the case of the Le Rhöne Moön Aventurine Titanium does have an interesting shape to it, I think the real star of the show is the dial. Here, you’ve got aventurine forming a deep, starry sky in which the mother-of-pearl moon floats. Of course, that means that this watch has a moonphase function built into that. What is particularly unique here is the fact that, once set, the moonphase won’t need to be corrected for five years. Well, provided you keep the movement running (it has a 42-hour power reserve).

I personally don’t find myself having a great need for a moonphase indicator, but if you’re going to have one, it might as well be set into a dial like we have on this one. The indices sparkle as well, being as they are diamonds. Want even more sparkle? Well, friend, there’s also a version that has a diamond-set bezel to it. Given these two options, you won’t be surprised that this is part of our “For Your Consideration” series. The one without the diamond bezel will run you $20,500, which the inclusion of additional sparklies will set you back PRICE. It may not be the most practical luxury sports watch, but it certainly is one of the most stunning. lerhone.com
