This is a bit outside the realm of our normal coverage, but we thought it would be of interest to our readers – especially those in the New York area – so we thought we’d pass the word along.

On one hand, yeah, this is just another watch trade show.  Unlike those that commonly take place over in Switzerland, this one is taking place right here in New York (at the Javits Center) September 6-8th, 2019.  This is the first one they’ve got planned, with London (2020) and Singapore (2021) on the books.

These sorts of things will live and die not just by attendance, but by the brands they’ve got participating.  So far, that list is including:

  • Grand Seiko
  • Oris
  • Frederique Constant
  • Alpina
  • Farer Universal
  • Fiona Krüger Timepieces
  • Watches of Switzerland.

Not only that, you’ve got the RedBar crew on board for the community side of things.  While we can’t be sure how that plays into this new show, if you’ve been to any local RedBar event, you know they’re a good, watch- and people-focused time.  So, things seem to be boding well for this new show.  If you want more info, just head on over to their site, horologicon.com
