Hey, guys. You’ve probably noticed there’s some kind of weird site thing before you load WWR. This is a new ad-style I’m trying out. It gives me a little cash for upkeep and hopefully annoys you to a limited extent. What do you all think about it?

Sexy sexy. Here’s a full cavalcade of erotic watches from multiple makers including impressive work from Ulysses Nardin and some no-name brand featuring the 12 positions of lurve.

Here is an excellent look at Donald W. Corson’s foray into creating his own watch completely by hand. We’re talking everything from the movement. Amazing stuff.
The following are posts I made to an Internet watchmaking forum describing the advancement of my work during the course of almost a year. From a few square pieces of cold brass to a working movement in a one-of-a-kind case. One of the joys of this work was the constant changes in skillset needed. From machinist to watchmaker to silversmith, etc.. As such the work is never boring, never repetitive, always new challenges and unknowns to be overcome.

When a man falls out of his car, this is what happens. Then, when the man sends his Rolex in for repair, they charge him $2000 and send him on his way. Read the whole sordid story at Fratello.
He cried because the bracelet broke down (only the bracelet replacement is probably around 7500 Euro), the saphire crystal shattered and didn’t know what more was wrong… Claus asked the R-L-X.de members what to do and brought the watch to Rolex Deutschland GmbH (which seem to be cheaper than Rolex Switzerland).

Velociphile ponders the idea of a Speedmaster with a bezel. The improvements would be obvious and manifold, but Omega knows that if they re-jigger the style too much, they’ll piss off the thousands and thousands of new people each year who buy the Speedmaster Professional the same way record companies know that folks will go to college and buy Dave Matthew’s CDs – A back catalog is a precious commodity. Anyway, wouldn’t it be nice?
A bezel would have given them 3 separate timing systems, a slow to work out one (hour and minute time), a quick one (bezel) and an accurate and fast one (chrono).
