Borealis Seafarer II 01

Borealis Seafarer II 04

Instead of the ceramic bezel insert of the Sea Hawk, the Borealis Seafarer II uses a lumed sapphire bezel insert, along with what looks to be a very generously lumed dial and handset.  I like the handset mix here, along with the splash of color on the minute hand.  Dive watches are supposed to have handset where the hour and minute hands are distinctly different, and here there is a pronounced difference both in the light and in the dark.

  1. Looks like dozens of other watches. Unnecessarily thick to accommodate a depth rating that is completely useless. At least they upgraded to a hacking movement.

I’ll stick to modestly-sized offerings with unique designs.

    1. Most of the time with watches like this, I will point out how silly the depth rating is, and it is silly. But there has to be a market for these types of watches, they keep getting made. If you want this type of watch, the brand represents a good value.
