I don’t usually post stuff like this but Massdrop has a really nice Seiko “Baby Tuna” on the site right now for $219 – half of what you’d pay on Amazon. It’s got a 47.5 mm case, a really nice black and gold face, and enough street cred to work as your first tool watch.

The Tuna and the 007 aka the Orange Monster are both some of the best watches in the world. They’re cheap, solid, and really handsome and they can get you hooked on collecting like nobody’s business. Don’t take my word for it, though. Everybody loves these things and aside from, say, a classic model with a nicer shroud, you’re not going to get much better for your first diving watch.
