I don’t know that I’ll ever get tired of the Q Timex watches, these just feel like designs that get so much so right. Lately, I’m sure the automatic version of the M79 has gotten all the love, but I say there’s nothing wrong with having a solid quartz in your lineup, and we’ve got some brand-new colors coming in on the Q Timex Color series.
Now, I will say up front – I’ve not actually handled any of these (though we’re working on that) so I’m going off of the photos. While other releases in the Q Timex Color series have been, well, quite colorful (I’m partial to the blue/red and blue/orange ones), now we’ve got some that are a bit more restrained, for those who want a little less attention on their wrist.
Of course, the dial (and even the handset) of the Q Timex Color should look familiar, but it’s just enough different that this is very much more a homage than a replica in my book. Of course, packing it all into the integrated lug case and the super-70s bracelet, and well, it’s quite it’s own thing. Oh, and what are those new colors? The Q Timex Color Series is available in Black/Black, Gold/Blue, and Silver/Black with pricing ranging from $179 – $189. And again, we’re working on getting in a review unit, so we’ll give you that hands-on when we can.
