Mispoes: Mr. Jones Watches – Mr. Jones watches has brought us another whimsical little timepiece for the cat lover in your life. Called the Mispoes!, it features a cute cat and mosue design created by Belgium art student Kaat Decunick as part of a school project set by her lecturer illustrator and author Kristof Devos.

This is the same Devos who created M. Jones’ popular A perfectly useless afternoon.

There’s not much to say about the watch except that it features an orange kitty hunting a little grey mouse around the face of the piece. Mispoes costs an acceptable $245 and comes with a quartz movement.

From the site:

Like the game, time often feels elusive: we can get caught up in a cycle of trying to catch up on lost time, instead of enjoying the moment.

Mispoes in Dutch means literally “you missed, cat!” and is a phrase used when someone misses a catch or aiming a paper ball at the bin.

The cat and mouse are locked in an endless pursuit, with the cat never quite fast enough to trap the mouse – mispoes!

Sadly the cat never grabs the mouse on the watch, which could make for a frustrating day for little Miss Tabby. That said, it’s a lovely watch and would make for a great gift.
