Once again, collaborations in the watch world are reigning supreme. Earlier this week, one hit from Brooklyn-based clothing company Adsum, giving a few tweaks to create the Adsum Timex MK1.

As we mentioned, Adsum is a clothing brand based out of NYC, and their name is Latin for “I am present”. That’s the whole idea behind the Adsum Timex MK1. Rather than a smartwatch that is full of notifications and ways to distract you from life, this field watch – which was originally produced for the US Marines back in the day – gives you just what you need. In this case, a three-handed time display, and nothing else.

Looking at the Adsum Timex MK1, it’s obviously recognizable as a field watch, with its dial layout, including the 24-hour time scale printed. There are a few elements that have been refreshed to make the watch feel more modern, mostly around the color. You’ll notice that the numerals at the compass points are done in a mint green, as is the luminous fill on the handset. To complement that, the watch comes with a dark green nylon strap, as well as a black perlon strap.

Around the back of the watch, that’s where you see the Adsum collaboration showing up, with a reminder to the wearer to be present in their day (though, the one-piece straps will cover that all up). A field watch is never a bad idea to have around for when you’re banging around, and a no-fuss quartz certainly ups the utility there. If you want to pick one up, they’re sold out at Adsum, but you can still get it for $140 direct from timex.com
