Limes Has A New Diver For You
The last time we took a look at a model from Limes, it was quite a sophisticated looking piece. While their newest model is no less polished, it definitely is putting off a more adventurous vibe.
Their newest model is a diver entitled Endurance Leviathan, and, at 44.5 mm (13.5mm thick) for the Ickler-designed case, it”s definitely the biggest watch in their lineup (hence the Leviathan name, I”d assume). Aptly enough for a diver, the watch carries a 300m water resistance rating, no doubt due to the solid screw down case back (double-gasketed), screw down crown, and sapphire crystal. This is all to keep the Sellita SW-200 movement in working order.
The watch itself has a satin finish; the insert on the unidirectional bezel is actually PVD coated (rather than, say, an aluminum insert). This combined with the black dial and white hands/indices makes for a very clean and classic look. With the white bits on the dial being lumed (as is the pip as 12 o”clock on the bezel), this should be plenty readable in the dark.
To keep it in place, you can get the watch with either a rubberized leather strap, or a stainless steel bracelet (which includes a divers extension, of course). Those choices of course impact the pricing. Their site lists the watch at 995 EUR (approx $1300) on the strap, or 1195 EUR (approx $1566) on the bracelet. These prices include shipping – and, if you”re outside the EU, you should likely get a break when VAT is removed from the price.
The watch is available now from Limes; you can get the ordering process underway .
