Casio’s new Edifice line connects to your phone, your soul
The future, they say, is here but just not evenly distributed. Luckily Casio’s new Edifice line is full of it. Their two new models, the $300 EQB501XDB-1A and EQB501XD-1A, have all of the standard Edifice tricks – 3D dials, lots of functions – but with a few new surprises.
The watches use Casio’s Tough Solar power to manage battery life and the also use Bluetooth SMART, a low energy version of Bluetooth that lets you set and update the watch and set the time properly in any timezone. Quoth Casio in a breathless few sentences:
Both pieces are resistant to 100 meters and feature a stopwatch, alarm, phone finder button, an luminous hands. They are shipping this month.
